System requirements

• WordPress 6.4 or newer
• PHP 8.1 or newer
• MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.3+
• HTTPS strongly recommended (required for the Biological Age Calculator)
• Recommended hosts: WP Engine, Kinsta, Cloudways, Rocket.net

1. Install the theme

1. Download the longevityos.zip file from your account dashboard.
2. In WP Admin, go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme.
3. Upload the zip, click Install Now, then Activate.
4. Paste your license key in LongevityOS → License and click Activate License.

2. Import demo content

The fastest way to see what the theme can do is import the APEX Longevity demo:

1. Go to LongevityOS → Demo Import.
2. Click Import APEX Longevity Demo. The importer creates all pages, sample protocols, biomarker glossary entries, and a sample patient dashboard.
3. Set Home as your front page in Settings → Reading.

3. Configure the Protocol custom post type

Protocols are the core content type. Each Protocol supports a category (Hormone, Cellular, Metabolic, Performance, Cognitive, Aesthetic), duration, phase count, starting price, biomarker tags, and a multi-phase roadmap.

1. Go to Protocols → Add New.
2. Fill the title, category, duration, phases, and starting price fields.
3. Add phase blocks under Roadmap — each phase has a week range, name, description, and "You Receive" line.
4. Optionally tag relevant biomarkers — these auto-link to the Biomarker Glossary.

4. Connect a patient portal (optional)

The patient dashboard template is a design preview by default. To display real patient data, connect to one of the supported portal providers:
